For designers in particular, one lesson of this project is the potential generative nature of the exhibition format, or the exploration of what I call the "exhibitionary apparatus." This apparatus is the support system that surrounds any exhibition, making it intelligible or visible, and it both precedes and succeeds the actual show itself.
